Tibetan Dream Yoga - Lucid Dreaming

Dream yoga is an advanced teaching and practice that varies among schools of Tibetan Buddhism. It encompasses various techniques and stages of development on the Buddhist path, ultimately leading to profound self-knowledge and, ultimately, Buddhahood or enlightenment.

Lucid dreaming is a state during sleep when you become aware that you are dreaming. It allows you to make decisions, meet people, and explore desired locations within your dreams. Scientists are still working to fully understand this phenomenon.

Before sleeping, repeatedly tell yourself that dreams are strange, thus recognizing them as dreams. Practice this for a few seconds every night, consistently, for about three weeks. Keeping a dream journal by your bedside can help you record your dream experiences.

Lucid dreaming is generally considered safe and not inherently dangerous.

I hope that you understand what the word ‘spiritual’ really means. It means to search for – to investigate – the true nature of the mind. There’s nothing spiritual outside. My rosary isn’t spiritual; my robes aren’t spiritual. Spiritual means the mind and spiritual people are those who seek its nature.
